What Gets Measured

Dressmaker's measuring tape coiled into a spiral on a bright yellow background

In business management circles, there are a couple sayings that are “up” for us right now: “What gets measured, matters.” And “what gets measured, gets managed'“ (a famous Peter Drucker quote from 1954).

This is up for us because there’s massive programming on this planet that says we must “be productive” … preferably every moment of every day.

This has been emphasized by years’ worth of business focus on increasing efficiency.

And it’s exacerbated by programming and childhood conditioning that says we must achieve … or earn our keep … or prove our worthiness or deservability.

And … with your permission, the Angels would love to dissolve all of that programming and illusion from your space!

Now, the Angels and I want to add that this doesn’t mean measuring things is bad or wrong in some way. The question is: WHAT are we measuring? Because … what gets measured matters and gets managed.

If we’re constantly measuring our own productivity, we’re likely to push through, try to make things happen, struggle, strive… You get the idea!

So, what if we measured something COMPLETELY different, something that’s in harmony with Being Love for ourselves and in the world?

The Angels would love for us to play with these questions … or come up with our own questions that feel really delicious:

  • How much Love (or joy … or peace) did I feel while I was doing ___?

  • How much connection (to myself, to others, to the Divine) did I experience today?

  • How much Love flowed through me today?

Can you feel how changing what you measure changes everything? Changing these KPIs (key performance indicators) has the power to totally change your life!
